The Da Vinci Code Movie Review

The Da Vinci Code Review/Plot: While an Harvard symbologist, Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), is in Paris for business, he receives a late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre Museum has been found murdered inside the museum.

I loved this book and hated the movie version. I let me kids watch this because the book was an intelligent mystery and regretted my decision that it would be appropriate for them. The movie showed lots of scenes of a man dripping in blood crawling around the museum. Then it repeatedly showed his naked body with markings cut into his chest, much more than necessary to make its point. It also spent lots of time showing the creepy murderer cutting and hurting himself, again focusing lots of screen time on the bloody cuts all over his body. Although, this was in the book, it could have been touched on lightly. So much time was spent on these things, that they cut out much of the trail that Tom Hanks character followed to solve the mystery.

Such a disappointment! John 21:20 -21 in the New International Bible states.' Peter turned around and saw behind them the disciple Jesus loved - the one who had leaned over to Jesus during supper and asked, ' Lord who will betray you?'

Peter asked Jesus, ' What about him, Lord? Jesus replied, ' If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is it to you?' As for you, follow me'.

So the rumour spread among the community of believers that this disciple wouldn't die. But that isn't what Jesus said at all. He only said, 'If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? This is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his account of these things is accurate.' Therefore it was in fact the disciple John who wrote the book of John and the book of Revelation who was the apostle that leaned towards Jesus during the last supper as depicted in DaVinci's painting of the last supper not Mary Magdalene as she was not even present at the last supper.

This movie and book comes from the antichrist as it goes against the true message of the bible that Teaches Jesus died on the cross as a pure and perfect Virgin to save the world from sin which leads to eternal spiritual death and bring spiritual life to all those who repent and believe that Jesus has saved them from hell. Jesus could not have married a human(Mary Magdolin) as the sexual joining of a sinful soul to a pure and perfect one would have tainted Jesus' perfection and prevented him from covering the worlds sin on the cross with his pure and sinless blood. People who do not know or study the bible should not be allowed to write blasphemous books and movies about biblical things as God has promised to punish anyone who 'adds or takes away from the word of God'! So be warned and don't be fooled by Hollywood's lies in this movie!

I honestly don't know why everyone's saying that this contains graphic violence. None of those violent scenes contains strong or graphic violence.

Silas kills the nun but no blood is shown. The dead body in the beginning - not detailed either and looks kind of fake. When Silas hurts himself because of the religion, it can be unsettling when he agonises in pain but nothing too disturbing. They shoot people though but as I said - nothing graphic. The violence could probably 12 year olds handle but I rated this 14 because of the plot. I liked the movie, have read the book and enjoyed it more than Angels and demons.

It's more easy to understand. Don't think every teenager will appreciate this, it's about history and religion. They also bring up conspiracy theories about Jesus and his 'wife' and 'kids' (these are just theories and not facts). Like the whole movies is based by this. It's interesting. PG-13 fits good. One kissing scene.

Who Wrote The Da Vinci Code

I have only watched the movie - have NOT read the book. Violence is graphic - wondering how it passed the PG-13 rating. Remix mp3. Would agree that it is not appropriate for under 13.

The Da Vinci Code

Movie is longer than average, but kept me (an ADULT) engaged. The violence, deception, suspense and betrayal are fitting for a 'thriller', but not fitting for children under teens. The story would likely not even interest younger kids. Being a person of faith, the movie in no way challenged my beliefs or raised doubts. It was an enjoyable fanciful work of fiction that impressed me with it's attempt to tie together otherwise unrelated details into a seemingly connected storyline.
